The most famous wrestlers and why to bet on them

Wrestling is a performance. Very demanding to health, dangerous setting. One mistake and a wrestler can be injured so that he will be left without work for a year. This is exactly what makes this sport so exciting for those who bet. Today we recall a dozen legendary wrestlers who could be seen on TV in the late nineties – early zero. And they all perform to this day.

Undertaker

Mark Calloway is a legendary fighter whose fame has gone far beyond the wrestling industry. His pseudonym is no less a recognizable symbol of wrestling than the name of Hulk Hogan. The gloomy image of the Undertaker, his cloak and wide-brimmed hat, epic exits and the energizing urn with mysterious ashes is hard not to remember. He didn’t always win his matches, but he still seemed creepy and invincible.
The Undertaker is not the most decorated wrestling fighter in WWE history. But he owns an epic streak: 21 consecutive victories at the main annual WWE show – WrestleMania. The Undertaker first won WrestleMania 7 and performed on that show every year since then. The streak was interrupted only at WrestleMania 30 – Undertaker lost to Brock Lesnar, the former UFC heavyweight champion. During this match, Mark, by the way, received a serious concussion and now he cannot remember how it all happened. However, this does not prevent him from still holding a couple of fights every year.

Kane

The real name of the “beloved demon of the Devil” is Glen Jacobs. His image is an infernal monster (Kane’s height is almost 213 centimeters!) in a creepy mask. Laconic, but tough and effective wrestling enforcer. Now he is the governor of Knox County, Tennessee, so he rarely appears on screens. But Kane did not officially end his career.
Since the tenths, Kane has been returning periodically to play a few wrestling matches. Most memorable of their comebacks was teaming up with Undertaker in 2018 to fight D-Generation X, represented by Triple H and Sean Michaels.

Bill Goldberg

Bill Goldberg is an invincible and unstoppable mountain of muscle. One of the most impressive enforcers in the history of modern wrestling. By the way, he came to business from American football. It is not surprising that one of the key techniques in his arsenal was the “football” harpoon. However, his set has never been distinguished by the variety: a harpoon and a jackhammer. And that was enough for the fans!
Goldberg’s career was not too long – he intermittently performed in the ring until 2004 and then gave up wrestling. He returned only after more than ten years – in 2016. Since then, he has played several matches, including with The Undertaker in 2018, and even briefly served as the WWE Chief Champion. Goldberg himself says that his career is not over, so we are waiting for new fights.

Triple H

Paul Leveque is more than just a legend of wrestling. He is one of the most decorated wrestlers in WWE history. Take any iconic fighter of the company from the mid-nineties to the present day – with every Triple H fought and won for sure. But his main achievement in the ring is the creation, together with Sean Michaels, of the D-Generation X group. Although his own Evolution gang with Rick Flair, Batista and Randy Orton also went down in history.

Can we bet on the WWE?

Wrestling betting is big business and you can bet on it. However, WWE betting is a little different from regular sports betting in that it is a bit of an exotic gambling game. And people can bet on the outcome of fights at various online bookmakers, some of which specialize in wrestling and others at general bookmakers. You can also bet on your favourite fighter but for the greater success of wrestling bets, it is worth adhering to certain rules aimed at increasing the level of knowledge.
