Mount Mat Madness 2008 Seeding Seeding will be conducted by a committee on Wednesday evening, January 16, 2008. All entries, along with their relevant statistics, must be submitted online or by fax or email by 5 pm on Tuesday, January 15th. Seeding criteria, outlined below and developed as an objective tool to separate top wrestlers from meeting until later rounds, will be used for seeding. The seeding meeting will be open to the public for their input, however, the committee will have the final decision making authority. An emphasis will be placed on the top 6 seeds in each weight. (Wrestle-offs will be held and team placement points scored for the top 6 place winners). Where feasible, more than 6 wrestlers may be seeded. If needed, byes are placed on the brackets randomly and distributed evenly throughout the bracket. Seeded wrestlers are then placed in their proper position and unseeded wrestlers are placed on brackets by random draw. Seeds will be published on www.mountmatmadness.com immediately following the seeding meeting. Brackets will be printed and distributed to coaches immediately following weigh-ins on January 18th. Printed brackets are given to spectators who purchase the souvenir program.
